Shear Rhythm was started back in 2009 by the owner Theresa Garcia who wanted to combine her two favorite passions in life: dance and hair. Her unique business, which blended two very different worlds, posed a challenge for us to create a website that catered to both types of visitors. Once we had the website in place and made it user friendly for either someone trying to find out about dance classes or wanting to schedule a hair appointment, we had the even bigger task of trying to get her website to rank for both dance studio and hair salon keywords.

Results

With a year-long back-linking strategy, we are happy to report that this site is ranking on the first page of Google, Yahoo and Bing for all the local dance and hair salon keywords our client wanted to rank for. Business has doubled for our client, who now has a packed dance studio and is even looking to expand into a bigger space.  We continue to work with Theresa in setting new ranking goals as she offers more services and products.

Swanque is located in the heart of the Los Angeles garment district and sells young women’s clothing at discounted prices. They were looking to sell beyond the Los Angeles area and showcase their clothes to everyone throughout the United States and Canada. We took over their site in October of 2012 and made many changes to their pages to better optimize the keywords they wanted to rank for along with making the site easier to use with improved search and checkout processes. We also started a social media marketing campaign that included Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pintrest. Our biggest challenge was that women’s clothing niche is very difficult to enter and rank for.

Results 

In a matter of 6 months, we have been able to get Swanque.com to rank for their main keywords in the top 3 spots of Google and build their brand via social media channels. Their online business continues to grow each and every month and they are now considering closing their storefront to focus on the online store given the lower cost and better ROI. We continue to work with them on getting the site more traffic and sales along with social media attention.

Reliable Energy is a heating and air conditioning company that has been in business since 1995 and was looking to obtain more traffic and sales through their website. They had always done marketing via newspapers, flyers, and ads, but realized they were not making the kind of sales they had hoped for given the amount of money they were spending. So they hired us to get them to rank higher in the search engines and also wanted to run a PPC campaign for Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Results

We made major changes to the site structure and SEO’d each page on the site. We also started to run a very aggressive PPC campaign right away and within the first month, they made more sales online than they had all year from running newspaper ads. The site continues to receive more traffic each month and we are working them to expand their reach to more cities and counties that they can offer their HVAC services to.

Mister Coolz came to us with a limited budget and wanted more exposure on the internet to display their unique misting products and umbrella holders they sell. They needed help finishing the design of their website and wanted to add an option to accept payments online from their site. They mainly sold their product through word-of-mouth and at trade shows. We finished the website design for them and added a Paypal feature to accept credit cards. Given the limited resources they had, we built a back-link campaign to go after long tail keywords that had less competition where we felt they had a better chance of ranking for.

Results

From all those long tail keywords, we were able to drive enough traffic so that they make sales on a monthly basis (even during the winter months). They have even sold some products to different countries and are very happy with the work we did for them. We continue to work with them to help grow their site and online sales.
